Darts

How do you play the game of darts?

A couple of ideas for you -

Game - Around The Board

Rules: The object is to be the first player to hit every number on the board in sequence from 1-20.

Hitting any part of the number – single, double or triple – counts, and numbers must be hit in order to advance to the next. ie hit 1 to move to 2, 2 to move to 3 and so on.

Players alternate after three throws. The first player to hit a 20 is the winner.

Games of 301 or 501

This is the simplest of games. Each player starts with a score of 501 or 301 depending on how long you wish each game to take

The players take turns to throw 3 darts.

The score for each turn is calculated and deducted from the players total. Bullseye scores 50, the outer ring scores 25 and a dart in the double or treble ring counts double or treble the segment score.

To start the game the player has to hit a double.

To end the game the player has to hit a double to get their score to exactly ZERO

It's great for mental maths all that subtraction and

working out how to get your check out score!

ie check out score of -

90 = triple 20 then double 15

48 = 16 and double it.... and so on
