The Aerial Runway is a great activity for the Young People in Scouting. It does need to be operated safely, following the Glenny Wood Factsheet requirements which incorportate the HQ guidelines.

To use the Glenny Wood Aerial Runway you therefore need to be trained. Once trained you are able to lead a Aerial Runway session at Glenny Wood during 2024. Anyone trained prior to 2023 will need to attend the course again.

The training will be a pass - fail event, both on understanding of the training during the practice session and the Q & A sheet at the end.

The factsheet, which will be emailed out prior to the training, must be read prior to the training.

The aerial runway is ideal for a day visit or when camping / staying in the lodge. Due to the set up time, of around an hour, it is unlikely you will wish to use this as an evening activity.
