A lot of work has been undertaken to ensure the site is OPEN again and has been adapted to take into account the special measures required due to COVID-19.

In reviewing our site the overriding priority, as always, is to ensure the safety of all those using Glenny Wood for Scouting and other activities and that of our small team who manage the site.

So, what changes have been made for the Safety of those using Glenny Wood?

  • Glenny Wood Covid-19 Risk Assessment has been undertaken and written down. This has been updated for 29th March open to reflect the recent rules changes

  • A gap between the bookings will be scheduled to give the Adults time to complete the critical cleaning of the areas used and be off site before the next group arrives.

  • Toilet facilities have been reduced as well to allow for Social Distancing to be maintained

  • Each section / unit using Glenny Wood will be expected to clean the loos they have used as per the RA.

  • Professional Cleaners employeed to help raise the standards.
